These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kipnit mobile application (“App”) operated by Kipnit (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. User Roles and Eligibility
Kipnit supports two user roles: Homeowners and Contractors. Users may also act in a dual-role capacity.
– You must be at least 18 years old to use Kipinit.
– You must complete OTP verification using your phone number and email address.
2. Homeowner Responsibilities
Homeowners may:
– Add and manage multiple homes and rooms.
– Create projects and assign tasks to contractors.
– Share projects publicly via the Expo feature.
– Must add a valid payment method (via Stripe) before initiating any project.
3. Contractor Responsibilities
Contractors must:
– Complete onboarding using Stripe Connect to receive payments.
– Accept or decline project invitations.
– Mark project status (Start, End, Complete).
– Agree that payment will be disbursed only after homeowner confirmation.
– Allow Kipnit to showcase completed projects in the Expo.
4. Payments and Fees
-Kipnit uses Stripe for all payment processing.
– A 10% platform fee will be deducted from contractor earnings.
– Additional Stripe and tax fees may apply.
– Kipnit does not store any card or bank information on its servers.
5. Expo and Public Content
– Projects may be displayed in the Expo section for public viewing.
– Contractors automatically have completed projects shown in their Expo.
– Homeowners can choose to make their projects public.
6. Events and Calendar Features
Users may:
– View and manage events related to project deadlines.
– Add custom events or allow automatic syncing of task milestones.
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for any violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
Kipnit is not responsible for any direct or indirect losses arising from user interactions, project disputes, or payment delays. All users are responsible for verifying contractor or homeowner credibility.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be communicated via the App or registered email.
